Pelican Engineering offer a wide range of control systems, designed to suit the required application. All control panels include comprehensive metering and protection/shutdown facilities as standard.

Manual Start

The basic panel is provided with standard instrumentation and a manually operated keyswitch for staring and stopping the set.

Auto Start

This panel enables the starting and stopping of the generating set via a remote start signal as well as providing local control.

Automatic Mains Failure

The panel is used to monitor a mains supply and automatically start the generating set in the event of mains failure. It can also control the change over system.

Automatic Transfer Switch

The automatic transfer switch (ATS) is specifically designed for stand by applications. The panel includes a pair of mechanically and electrically interlocked changeover contactors or circuit brakers for transfer of the load from mains to standby supply.

Automatic Synchronising

In many situations, meeting the load demand with a number of smaller generating sets in parallel operation is the most economical solution.

These installations feature load sharing and load level demand systems. We can also offer a facility to synchronise with the mains supply to provide a peak shaving system.

The auto start, automatic mains failure and automatic synchronising panels use a microporcessor control unit and comprehensive list of timers and pre-configured sequences to meet demanding specifications.

We can offer these systems with full telemetry facilities, enabling the operator to monitor and control the module from a remote location.
